Bank of America Tower (New York City)

The Bank of America Tower (New York City) is a topped out (not open yet but completed), 54 floor, 1 billion US dollar, 366 m skyscraper in New York City, USA. The design of the building will make it environmentally friendly, using technologies such as floor-to-ceiling insulating glass to contain heat and maximize natural light, and an automatic daylight dimming system. As its name indicates, Bank of America will be its anchor tenant. The building will have approximately 195,096 m2 of office space and will be the tallest Bank of America skyscraper in the world. Upon the placement of its spire (the tower’s architectural spire alone is 77.9 m tall) in December 2007, the tower became the second tallest building in New York City, after the Empire State Building.
